Liquid lipsticks have increased in popularity massively this year. We think Kylie Jenner might be partly responsible for the trend, but after experiencing the struggle of trying to get one of her coveted lip kits we got to thinking that there must be some better (and more affordable) options out there.
Here are our 5 favourite liquid lipsticks for under £20 which will have you looking gorgeous without breaking the bank:
1. Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream £5.50
Neither lipstick nor lip gloss, this matte lip cream glides on silky smooth and sets to a matte finish. It doesn’t emphasise any wrinkles on your lips and at just £5.50 a pop, we might as well buy all 26 shades – right?
With shade names like ‘bellissima’ and ‘caramello’ and super sleek packaging, it’s no wonder these adorable lipsticks are a fan favourite. Plus anything that does exactly what it says on the tin gets a thumbs-up from us.
Pucker up ’cause these bad boys leave your lips smooth and nourished with no chance of colour transfer after just one stroke of application.
Just one search of ‘best liquid lipstick’ into Twitter will let you know how well-loved these lipsticks are. Going on opaque and drying matte, the liquid formula is comfortable and lasts all day. The downside? These are hard to get in the UK, although selected products are stocked at www.cocktailcosmetics.co.uk.
A good liquid lipstick for £3? Seriously? Yep. The price of products doesn’t necessarily reflect its quality. These lacquers are food-and-drink proof and don’t flake off straight away like most liquid lipsticks.
