It’s officially Q4 which basically means that all of our favourite artists release their albums in the space of a few weeks just before Christmas. Great news for our ears, bad new for our
parents’ bank accounts. We’ve sifted through all of the upcoming releases for the next three months to come up with a list of the Top Ten Q4 albums we’re most excited for…
10. Olly Murs – ‘Never Been Better: The Special Edition’ (November 20)
This may not be an entirely new album but 2014’s ‘Never Been Better’ is getting another push with seven new tracks on it, which will include the new single ‘Kiss Me’. Olly’s also treating us with a Tour DVD included in the re-packaged album.
9. Ben Haenow – ‘Ben Haenow’ (November 13)
Last year’s X Factor winner Ben Haenow releases his self-titled debut album next month. Expected to include his winner’s single ‘Something I Need’ and Kelly Clarkson-assisted single ‘Second Hand Heart’, we can’t wait to see what 2014’s champ has been cooking up for us.
8. Ellie Goulding – ‘Delirium’ (November 6)
Miss Goulding is returning to the album charts with her first proper pop album and we. cannot. wait. Including the Fifty Shades track ‘Love Me Like You Do’ and new anthem ‘On My Mind’, this one looks set to be a corker.
7. Selena Gomez – ‘Revival’ (October 9)
‘Revival’ marks Selena’s first studio album since 2013’s ‘Stars Dance’ and is only her second without The Scene. With her sexy single ‘Good For You’ still dominating airplay and ‘Same Old Love’ creeping up the chart, our excitement reached new levels when Selly treated us to ‘Me & The Rhythm’ this weekend.
6. Demi Lovato – ‘Confident’ (October 16)
With hits like ‘Cool For The Summer’ and title track ‘Confident’ being our teasers for this album, we have to say we are more than ready for the full record to be launched on us in a couple of weeks’ time. Brimming with confidence (geddit?), this looks to be Demi’s biggest album yet.
5. 5 Seconds of Summer – Sounds Good Feels Good (October 23)
Our favourite Australian rockers are up next with their second album ‘Sounds Good Feels Good’. With tracks like ‘She’s Kinda Hot’, ‘Jet Black Heart’ and ‘Money’ already being released, we know that this album sounds good, but only time will tell if it feels good.
4. The Vamps – ‘Wake Up’ (November 27)
They’ve been away for a while but The Vamps have well and truly returned with the release of their new single ‘Wake Up’ and now we all hold baited breath for the album of the same name. Brad has teased that this album sounds quite different to ‘Meet The Vamps’ so we’re very intrigued.
3. Justin Bieber – ‘Purpose’ (November 13)
It feels like forever since we’ve had new Justin Bieber music but now he’s back with the massive single ‘What Do You Mean?’ and Jack Ü collaboration ‘Where Are Ü Now’ and we cannot wait for more from the Canadian pop God. Will JB manage to score a number one though? We hear he’s got some pretty tough competition…
2. One Direction – ‘Made In The A.M.’ (November 13)
One Direction will be releasing their first post-Malik album in November. Now, when we began writing this list we thought ‘Made In The A.M.’ was going to be number one, we really did. But then we thought what this album means, it means that once this is released there’s no more One Direction albums for at least a year and, although we’re ready to bop to jams like ‘Drag Me Down’ and ‘Infinity’ all winter long, we think we can wait just a little bit longer for 1D’s hiatus.
1. Little Mix – ‘Get Weird’ (November 6)
2014 left us with no Little Mix album but they’re returning in 2015 with what promises to be their best. The girls have already scored three weeks at number one with summer anthem ‘Black Magic’ and have previously released the new single ‘Love Me Like You’, and who could forget ‘Hair’? Plus there’s the performances of ‘Grown’ and ‘The End’ which have had us li-ving at promo gigs. We’ve heard so much and waited so long and that is why ‘Get Weird’ is the album we’re most looking forward to hearing this year.
