MP! Style Guide: Marble manicures—what are they and how do you get them?

The latest nail art trend taking the Internet by storm is the marble (or stone, or granite) manicure. It’s exactly what it sounds like—a painting style that imitates the look of your marble countertops. It’s somewhat similar to the “water marbling” technique you may remember from its popularity a few years ago. Here are some prime examples from Instagram:

Okay, so you’re itching to try this out now, right? Well, we found an awesome tutorial on YouTube that shows you exactly how to do it. You’ll need:

  • White, light grey, and dark grey nail polish
  • Plastic wrap
  • A disposable cup
  • Water
  • Aerosal hairspray
  • Toothpicks
  • Q-tips
  • Nail polish remover

It’s pretty time consuming, but the end result is worth it. If you don’t feel like committing to all ten nails, try just doing it on an accent nail on each hand.
