Last week, Little Mix performed breakup song of the century ‘Shout Out to My Ex’ on ‘The X Factor’ and got a lot of people talking. Trolls took to Twitter to criticise the girls’ outfit choices, calling them “prostitutes”. Not cool! Former Spice Girl and girl power queen, Mel C, even said she didn’t let her daughter watch it because they weren’t dressed appropriately. Seriously, what happened to girl power?!

The Little Mix ladies aren’t afraid of standing up for themselves, and Jesy certainly is no exception.
Jesy took to the band’s Snapchat account and shared a picture of herself wearing a sexy black mini dress with the words “too provocative?” written on the bum – and right before they were due on stage at Radio 1’s Teen Awards. Touché, girl!
The girls donned their usual little outfits and looked fab in blue and black while performing their smash hit at The SSE Arena, Wembley.
Fifth Harmony have also been vocal in the past about how important it is for women to feel empowered.
The ladies aired their views during a radio interview last year and we couldn’t agree more. Surely it’s time to stop the ‘slut shaming’ and let the girls dress as they want without being judged for it?
We’re particularly proud of Jesy for overcoming her insecurities and having the confidence to stand up to critics. Slay, girl, slay!
